Panicale is a small medieval village that stands on a hill at the foot of Mt. Petrarvella (elev. 641 m) in the Roman Val di Chiana, located between the valley of Lake Trasimeno and the Nestor river valley.

It is part of the “The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy” circuit, and was awarded the orange flag by the Touring Club Italiano.

It is located about 30 km from Perugia and an hour and a half by car from Rome and Florence.

Its strategic position makes it possible to reach the main tourist destinations of Umbria (Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Orvieto ...) and Tuscany (Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena, Cortona, Montalcino ...) in half an hour by car.
